We just discovered- EXCLUSIVELY- that the Shaq Comedy All Star Jam Tour is looking for the next All Star to join their tour! What do we mean? Well, we hear that the Comedy Shaq team is setting aside a day to film during the NBA All Star Weekend (while they will be on tour and in that city anyway for the Shaq Comedy All Star Jam Concert that night) as they are seeking a comedian to join their tour. They plan to film Who’s The Next All Star? and they will be auditioning 30 comedians that day, as they will be given a five minute set to impress the Shaq Team.
What’s interesting to note here is that the team will then place the videos on their Youtube Channel The Comedy Shaq Network and the comedian who generates the most views will be placed on the tour, probably joining the tour currently in place for the fall. Since its YouTube, the Comedy Shaq team will also be looking for some user generated comedy videos that they will also place on the channel that will be no longer than one minute in length.
Meanwhile, The Shaq Comedy All Star Jam Tour kicked of 40 dates, 20 set in the Spring, and 20 set in the fall. The Tour kicked off during Super Bowl Weekend in Indianapolis and featured Michael Blackson, Capone, Gary Owen on the tour and was hosted by Corey Holcomb. We even heard that Spinderalla (the DJ from the hit Rap duo Salt and Pepa) officially joined the tour as the DJ. In attendance at the show was former NFL great Deon Sanders, Snoop Doggy Dogg, and Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson just to name a few.
With all of the NFL greats from Super Bowl weekend and stars who attended, it looks like NBA All Star Weekend In Orlando is going to be a hot ticket also. As we previously reported, that weekend Earthquake and Rodney Perry will be filming their specials on Friday Feb. 24th while Kevin Hart will be performing there on Wednesday and Thursday, the 22nd & 23rd at The Hard Rock Live on City Walk. The Saturday show will be Hosted by Gary Owen and will feature comedians Capone, Tony Roberts and a comedian to be named later. No official word yet on which NBA Players or Stars who confirmed, but if Super Bowl Weekend was any indication, it looks like that will also be a hot ticket.
Finally, we hear that the tour will even make a stop in Miami during the South Beach Comedy Festival on March 2nd will be at the Filmore but we haven’t discovered the rest of the details if that just yet.
Stay tuned!
