Midnight Surprise show hosted by NBA superstar Blake Griffin the 27 year old Power Forward of the Los Angeles Clippers quickly became one of the hottest tickets at OFF-JFL, filling Theatre Ste-Catherine Located in the heart of the city’s Quartier des Spectacles. The 100-seat venue was sold out each night. Fans got the opportunity to see Griffin do about 12 minutes of stand up, he did jokes about being awkward at strip clubs, post game interviews, and he even pulled a person up on stage and messed with him a bit. Blake kept the audiences engaged and delighted while soaking in laughs from an unannounced lineup of comedians performing at the festival. Surprise performances from Judd Apatow, Lil Rel Howery, Jay Pharoah and Hannibal Buress just to name a few.
Griffin is no rookie to comedy he has been showing off his off-court comedy skills for the past five years. Blake has 10 Funny or Die videos and several hilarious commercials and who could forget those sketches that he did with the Drake for The ESPYs. Who knows when he will pop up at a comedy club near you.
