Several days ago, The Humor Mill sat down with Executive Producer Daniel Paul to talk about The AsPire Network’s new sketch comedy series Comic Edge.
Known for taking on great challenges Paul recently Created/ Executive produced Comic Edge, under a strict time line and budgetary restraints. Comic Edge is an eight episode variety show for broadcast with the foresight to merge new media with old and features comedian Robert Powell as host.
Paul served as Executive Vice President of Klasky/ Csupo, a billion dollar production giant which produced the highest earning animation properties in television history. These shows included The Simpsons, Rugrats and Wild Thornberrys.
At Klasky, Paul managed all areas of development, product management, production, sales, and buyer relationships.
Paul’s career as an executive began as one of the founding executives of Will Smith’s company Overbrook Entertainment, where he helped create one of the most profitable entertainment franchises in the world.
