We just discovered from our sources that the new African American network Bounce TV, is about to launch a new stand up comedy show! We even heard their new host is former Def Comedy Jam host Joe Torry!
We discovered that the new show will have a 5 episode order from Bounce TV and is going to be filmed in Atlanta’s famous Uptown Comedy Club. Word is that if all goes well, there will be more episodes immediately after that.
We hear that the show titled Uptown Comic will have stand up comedy AND sketches in every episode and that they are planning to add a couple of other ground breaking moves to make the show different than any other show previously broadcast.
This is great news from the network that just closed a deal for their first sitcom and now has closed a deal on their first comedy show. Reminds you of the early days of BET, doesn’t it?
