Several weeks ago we reported the news that veteran comedian and writer Paul Mooney (probably best known to the world as the veteran head writer for Richard Pryor and a writer for the iconic comedy sitcoms Good Times and Sanford & Sons) was hospitalized.
Our sources then told us that Mooney, who is 72 years old, had been in and out of the hospital for the last 45 days recovering from a recent surgery. Well, we just had an EXCLUSIVE conversation with Mooney who assured us that he is in better health and after 90 days he is preparing to be released from the hospital.
Mooney also stated he was in the hospital because of an enlarged prostate, and despite several complications he is doing much better and has ‘the best doctors in the world’ taking care of him.
As a matter of fact, if you are in Oakland tonight, Mooney will be making an appearance at the E One Comedy Club.
