We just discovered the news that comedy vets Elise Neal and Anthony Anderson are going to both guest star in Cedric the Entertainer‘s The Soul Man!
The TV Land series states that the former The Hughleys star Elise Neal, (who played D.L. Hughley‘s wife, Yvonne, on the ABC comedy) has booked a guest-starring role as a reporter named Jessica who is covering Ced’s character Boyce for a special story.
Anthony Anderson will return to the series as Sweet Brown Taylor, Boyce’s former writer and producer from his R&B days.
If you are not familiar with The Soul Man, it follows R&B star-turned-minister Reverend Boyce “The Voice” Ballentine (Ced) after he relocates to St. Louis with his wife, Lolli (Niecy Nash). Now they have a new addition to their household in the form of Stamps (Wesley Jonathan), Boyce’s brother, as they continue to adjust to a new life.
The Soul Man premieres every Wednesday at 11PM.
