DL Hughley's New Afternoon Drive Time Syndicated Radio Show Will Be Televised!

Posted Jul 25, 2013

A couple of days ago we reported the news that comedian and actor DL Hughley is making some major moves in several new upcoming projects that are going to be on radio and television. We heard Hughley was about to drop a new nationally syndicated afternoon drive time radio program, a new film and a new television show. We just weren’t sure of too many details at the time. Well today, according to our sources, we were able to confirm that Hughley’s new syndicated radio show will ALSO be televised! No word yet on which network, but we will have details on that soon!

It seems that the new radio program is going to be the first of it’s kind as it will feature the comedian as an afternoon drive time jock, and as a televised show!  This alone would break new ground for TV and also be cemented in comedy history.

If you recall, we also stated that the new radio program will have comedian actor Steve Wilson attached and we were able to confirm that as we hear Wilson is the only person currently attached to the new radio/TV show. Hughley’s former co-hosts Jacque Reid and DeDe McGuire are not attached to this new program as the network execs are looking to move in a new direction. We do know that there is currently a search on for a female co-host.

The show will be syndicated by Reach Media (formerly Syndication One).

Up next for Hughely is his film the Endangered List, a new game show he co-hosting with Michael Ian Black titled Trust Me, I’m a Game Show Host on TBS and a role in an upcoming animated feature.

Stay tuned as this story is still developing!
