Despite Tax Issues & Paying Some Of The Debt, Chris Tucker Preps To Host BET Awards!

Posted May 27, 2013

Chris TuckerAs we have reported several months ago, comedian and actor Chris Tucker has some major tax problems, but we just discovered that Tucker recently paid close to 1 million dollars on what he owes to the IRS.

But he’s not out of the woods yet, as news reports state that the IRS says he owes over $11.5 million in unpaid taxes from a slew of years. Plus, the state of Georgia says he owes $590,000 from 2007. All totaled, he owes over $12 million.  Tucker took the hint – and we are sure he was advised to cough up some cash and paid off the GA state tax lien, PLUS another GA tax lien no one even knew he had. The breakdown:

1. $592,594.82 for 2007 — PAID

2. $392,332.16 for 2006 — PAID

All in all, “The Silver Linings” star dropped $985.028.98 chipping away at those pesky tax bills.

Now that he is getting ahead of this, there is some good news from the Tucker camp as our sources have stated that BET is saying that this year is going to be one of the best shows ever. Check out the video from the nominations recently;
