We just discovered that comedian Deon Cole continues to climb the Hollywood success ladder as he is having an amazing year!
First, he was hired as a writer for the new launch of The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien and was one of the ONLY African American writers to ever be hired in the history of that show.
Recently, he was nominted for an Emmy Award for his writing for The Tonight Show, and he is in discussions for another show of his own- the details of which are yet unknown.
Now we just discovered that Cole was recently hired to star as an animated figure in the new film Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, as he will be Uncle Rufus. So far, nothing has been revealed as to who Uncle Rufus will be or the other casting announcements yet.
In case you missed the previous three films, the basis of the films revolve around prehistoric creatures. It is about the time back when the Earth was being overrun by glaciers, and animals were scurrying to save themselves from the upcoming Ice Age, a stupid sloth named Sid, a woolly mammoth named Manny, a saber-toothed tiger named Diego, and an acorn-loving saber-toothed squirrel named Scrat are forced to become unlikely heroes. The four reluctantly come together when they have to return a human child to its father while braving the deadly elements of the impending Ice Age. The films all stem from here.
Anyway, more news as this story develops.
