David Alan Grier rounds out the main cast of Go Jerrod Go, NBC’s comedy pilot starring Jerrod Carmichael and written by Carmichael and Nick Stoller. Described as a irreverent multi-camera comedy inspired by Carmichael’s stand-up and his relationships with his girlfriend and family, the project follows a young couple, Jerrod (Carmichael) and Maxine (Amber West), who decide to move in together. But when it comes time to tell Jerrod’s parents, Jerrod finds every reason in the world to hold off on breaking the news to his mom (Loretta Devine) and dad (Grier).
Grier, repped by ROAR, Innovative Artists and Ziffren Brittenham, recently co-starred in CBS’ comedy series Bad Teacher and the Tyler Perry-produced feature Peeples.
