Last week we dropped the EXCLUSIVE news that Dave Chappelle was preparing to do a show with The Roots and possibly Erykah Badu, and maybe several other groups in New York for what was possibly looking like a comedy/music show.
This morning, it was confirmed that Chappelle is doing that show with several other groups, and we hear that the other groups are Busta Rhymes, Janelle Monae, and DJ Premier at Radio City Music Hall in New York City !
This morning, we even heat that since Live Nation is aboard this project and each group will play on separate nights that there may even be more shows added with more groups!
Here are the dates:
Tuesday, June 24: Dave Chappelle and The Roots
Wednesday, June 25: Dave Chappelle, Busta Rhymes, DJ Premier and Janelle Monae
Thursday, June 26: Dave Chappelle and Erykah Badu
This all makes sense now because of Chappelle popping up in Hollywood last week at The Improv during Big Spike’s ‘Mo Betta Mondays, and on Tuesday night at The World Famous Comedy Store for ‘Bob Sumner Presents Laff Mobb on Sunset’ during the Laff Mobb Comedy Showwhere he was joined by Katt Williams for both nights. He was preparing for this comedy show.
Will Katt join him in New York, or will he be joined by Chris Rock who is currently in NY wrapping up filming his latest project? I guess only time will tell.
