A couple of days ago, a tweet dropped from director Bryan Singer that really caught Hollywood by surprise. Here’s what it stated;
Thrilled to welcome the brilliant #OmarSy from the amazing film #TheIntouchables to the cast of #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast!”
It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it looks like French comedic actor Omar Sy of the international hit film The Intouchables was cast in the new film X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and our sources have discovered that Sy will play the role of the character known in the X-Men comic book world as Bishop. If you are not familiar with the character, Bishop is a time/reality/universe travelling mutant who plays a pivotal role in the comic book version of what the film is being based on.
Also today it was officially announced by the trades that actress Halle Berry is in talks to reprise her role as Storm in the new film. As widely reported, Berry will join the cast from her X-Men film several years go that featured Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore, as they all are set to reprise their roles in Days Of Future Past.
