Comedian Willie Lynch Jr. Wins The Miller Time Comedy Competition Chicago Edition Judged By Kevin Hart!

So far, 2012 is turning out to be a pretty good year for comedian Willie Lynch Jr., who is starting to really turn a lot of heads in the comedy world. First, at the beginning of the year, Lynch was crowned the winner at the longest running comedy competition and festival, The Bay Area Black Comedy Competition & Festival.

As many of you already know, The Bay Area Comedy Festival announced it was their 26th year, and everyone has crossed their stage at one point in time from Chris Tucker, to Katt Williams to DL Hughley just to name a few.

Next, Lynch applied- and won the Chicago edition of the Stand Up. It’s Miller Time Comedy competition and he is one of the key finalists to move to the comedy final! The panel, had Kevin Hart as a judge, and according to our sources, Lynch surprised a lot of folks with his comedy style and is favored.

This summer, It’s Miller Time. – and Miller Lite is keeping it funny with Stand Up. It’s Miller Time. – a search for the best up-and-coming comedian in America. The search will make stops across the country, with a special judge … comedian and actor, Kevin Hart.

Kevin Hart will serve as a special judge during the four regional semi-final competitions in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago and New Orleans, and the finale to announce the grand-prize winner in Las Vegas. “Comedy is a universal language that connects people. This is a great platform for up-and-coming comics and I am very happy to be a part of it,” said Hart, who is currently on a national arena tour titled “Let Me Explain” and starring in the hit films “Think Like a Man” and “The Five Year Engagement.” In 2011 Hart set comedy and box office records with his “Laugh At My Pain” tour and movie under the same title.

By voting for their favorite comedian online, legal-drinking-age consumers will be entered in a sweepstakes for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a trip for two to the grand finale in Las Vegas. Stand Up. It’s Miller Time. provides emerging comedians an opportunity to shine at five events across the country.

From May 1- June 25, consumers will have the opportunity to cast a vote online at www.StandUpItsMillerTime.com for one of six, pre-selected local comedic contestants in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago and New Orleans. The four comics with the most votes in each market will perform in a semifinal comedy show in their respective city, with the winner advancing to the Stand Up. It’s Miller Time. finale in Las Vegas. Consumers will have a chance to vote online from July 23 through August 6, for a fifth semifinalist to advance to the final round in Las Vegas, as a Wild Card contestant. The grand prize winner of the Stand Up. It’s Miller Time. competition will receive $10,000 and a feature in the urban lifestyle magazine, Complex.

“Miller Time is about having a good time with real friends over a great-tasting light beer, and laughter is a key component of that,” said Lorence Pope, Miller Lite African American marketing manager. “Comedy is a natural fit, so we’re excited to join with comic genius Kevin Hart to identify the next great stand-up comedian. We are proud to provide a platform for aspiring comics through Stand Up. It’s Miller Time.”
