Yesterday news was released that comedic actor Tracy Morgan, probably most famous from his eight seasons on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and seven on 30 Rock, will host the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, live from Las Vegas at the MGM Grand on Sunday, May 19, airing on ABC.
“I’m honored to be a part of one of music’s biggest nights,” Morgan said. “When you look at the artists who have come up through Billboard over the years, it’s incredible. And how can you say no when Prince is going to be there!”
Morgan’s SNL run spanned from 1996-2003. Three years later he joined Tina Fey’s award-winning series 30 Rock as the unpredictable actor Tracy Jordan. That series, which wrapped in January, earned him his first individual Emmy nomination.
Stay tuned for more info as the news of more nominations are coming soon!
