We just discovered from several sources that comedian Justin Hires (of Stomp The Yard and MTV’s Diaster Date fame) has just recently signed on to star in the new 21 Jump Street film!
We hear Hires has joined recent comedian DeRay Davis on the film, and we discovered that Hires’ character (named Juario) will primarily play along side actor Jonah Hill. The film also stars Ice Cube, Channing Tatum, Dave Franco, and Brie Larson and like the original series, this film sets an undercover police unit consisting of young looking officers infiltrate high schools to control youth crime.
Anyway, we also hear that Hires has also locked in as a regular cast member in the new untitled Jamie Foxx/ Affion Crockett sketch comedy show (that was previously titled The Playground, but now has yet to add an official name) that is set to premiere on FOX.
If that’s not enough, Hires has even landed a deal with Rainforest Films as a writer and star in a feature film. Plus it looks like this deal doesn’t end with just one film, that it also can lead to other films!
