We just discovered the news that comedian Joe Blount has moved from not only being a comedian on stage, but he has also moved behind the camera!
According to our sources, Blount has launched a brand new studio known as The Motor City Entertainment Studios which we hear is a film and television studio located in Detroit. As of this writing the studio and production company has moved forward with the launch of Outcold Films which has recently completed principal photography on his first feature film!
The new film is a crime drama entitled Once Upon a Time in Detroit, and we hear Blount stars in, wrote, directed, and produced the movie. The stars of the independent film consists of comedians Rodney Perry, Arlen “Griff” Griffin, Howie Bell, Shawn Morgan and Thomas Ward. No official word on the release date of the film.
We also hear that Blount is in negotiations with several distributors for the film and word has it that he is closing in on a deal soon.
