Comedienne, FICA (Females in Comedy Association) Founder, Hope Flood born in Benton Harbor, MI. Flood began her comedy career in the early 1990s. She appeared on BETs “Comic View”, were she was featured in her own special. Always an executive as much as a performer, Hope Flood co-founded BASH (Blacks About Social Happenings); a promotion group dedicated to producing quality comedy shows in the community. From there she branched off into publishing with her comedy magazine, Comedy the Magazine and its follow up Comedy 2000.
She appeared in the John Singleton film, Baby Boy and has toured internationally as a headliner. In 2011 she founded FICA (Females in Comedy Association) and presented the first of its kind comedy convention solely for comediennes.
Amateur females from all over the country were able to learn from veterans in the field and be showcased at some of Los Angeles, California’s most prestigious comedy clubs. She currently runs the Comic Rocks Annual Convention.
