Christopher Nolan’s New Film ‘Dunkirk’ Releases New Trailer

Posted Aug 4, 2016

The first glimpse of Christopher Nolan’s WWII drama “Dunkirk” leaked online Thursday ahead of its official debut.

The pirated clip, which is only half of the reported minute-long teaser, was taken on a mobile device at an undisclosed theater. Warner Bros. quickly removed a few of the leaked clips from YouTube.

The official “Dunkirk” trailer is attached to “Suicide Squad,” which opens Friday.

Starring Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, James D’Arcy and Mark Rylance, “Dunkirk” centers on the British military evacuation of the city of Dunkirk in 1940. It’s Nolan’s first feature film since “Interstellar.”

WB declined to comment.

The “Memento” director is no stranger to online pirates. An unofficial look at “The Dark Knight Rises,” his final Batman film, popped up online days before the trailer was released.

Produced by Nolan and his wife, Emma Thomas, “Dunkirk” co-stars One Direction singer Harry Styles, Jack Lowden and Aneurin Barnard.

“Dunkirk” lands in theaters next year on July 21.
