The new independent film Top Five directed by, written by, and starring Chris Rock finally dropped its brand new trailer yesterday. As we reported many times, the film stars Rock, along with Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, JB Smoove, Tracey Morgan, Gabrielle Union, Cedric The Entertainer, Sherri Shepherd, Anders Holm, Romany Malco, Leslie Jones, Michael Che, and Jay Pharoah and many more. The film is produced by Scott Rudin and Eli Bush. The Co-Producers are Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Kanye West; the Executive Music Producer is Questlove.
The film tells the story of New York City comedian-turned-film star Andre Allen (Rock), whose unexpected encounter with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) forces him to confront the comedy career—and the past—that he’s left behind.
Top Five will open in theaters on December 5, 2014 (limited release) and December 12, 2014 (wide release).
