We just received word via a press release from NBC that comedian and actor Chris Rock will host Saturday Night Live on November 1st!
But that wasn’t all for the shocking news; we also read that his musical guest would be Prince!
As you may recall, Chris Rock hosted the show once before;back in 1996, before that he was also building up his comedy audience as he was a cast member from 1990–93 on Saturday Night Live. Prince, who seldom does late night television, has been a musical guest twice before on the show- in 1981 and in 2006. He recently was on Arsenio Hall’s late night show Arsenio, as he co-hosted the entire show.
So as it would seem both are due back to return visits to the show.
Anyway, is this a please from SNL to start to bring back former stars to host because of seriously declining ratings? We will see.
