Chris Rock is about to strut his multi-talents on the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival that kicks off this week. The sharp-tongued comic will premiere his new movie Top Five, which he wrote, directed and stars in.
It’s Rock’s first time behind the camera since 2007’s I Think I Love My Wife. Rock directs himself again, starring as Andre Allen, a comedian-turned-actor who is looking to establish some serious acting cred. The cast also includes some of Rock’s funny friends: Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Kevin Hart, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, and Whoopi Goldberg, with a soundtrack by the multi-talented Questlove.
If we happen to run into the funny man at TIFF, the one thing we won’t do: try to impress him.
