As we stated several months ago, comedian and actor Chris Rock was prepping to make his Broadway debut in the new play titled The Motherfucker With the Hat. Well, as we stated in the headline that happened today!
The play officially opened at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York City and if the opening day was any indication, we hear tht it is off to a great start. The play is set to run for 12 weeks and is set to star Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vazquez.
The play is descrcibed by Playbill as “ferocious play about love and addiction… that crackles with fiery, brutal dialogue” and according to Shadowandact.com “is about a couple who have been in love with each other since they were kids, but after years of drugs and alcohol addiction, Jackie has sobered up with the help of his AA sponsor, Ralph D. (played by Chris Rock); however, Veronica, hasn’t.”
