Last fall during the Soul Train Weekend there was a comedy taping of major proportions titled The Centric Comedy All Stars.
Taped during the Soul Train Weekend (remember that weekend? The Soul Train Awards was the center piece and was hosted by Cedric The Entertainer), the show was a piece in the three day string of events, mostly related to comedy.
The show, hosted by comedians Bill Bellamy and Anthony Anderson, is now set to broadcast on the Centric Network and word is the show is scheduled to be 2 hours. The special will feature comedians Sherri Shepherd, Tony Rock, Gary Owen, George Willborn, G-Thang, and the night’s honoree, George Wallace, who we hear will be recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his nearly four decades in comedy.
Centric Comedy All-Stars premieres Saturday, March 2 at 9P/EST and 12:30A/EST
