If you are an avid reader of The Humor Mill, then you already know that Cedric the Entertainer and Niecy Nash are coming back for Season 2 of The Soul Man tonight.
In the show Ced plays Reverend Boyce “The Voice” Ballentine and Nash play the wife. Since we interviewed Ced last season, Ced has since landed the hosting gig of a new remake of the game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and several other projects have crept up. We had a brief chat with Ced for our upcoming issue, but to give you a sneak peek of our conversation we decided to drop you a quick excerpt of the interview below;
Humor Mill: You have the new season of ‘The Soul Man’ debuting and you recently landed the hosting gig of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’. How do you balance the two?
Cedric The Entertainer: “It’s a great blessing from starting out being a stand up from St. Louis and to have all of the opportunities I have had, and so this show just works out in a sense where TV Land is a great network…. Where its cable and its emerging, they don’t have to keep up with those same kind of schedules as the big networks. So the opportunity for me to have a shooting schedule that works where we can get the show done, and with ‘Millionaire’ we shoot that in what they call blocks too. We shoot that in a three month block and I will shoot all of them, and they will be done. I will have the whole year done and so that’s exciting to be able to know that you can have these two big opportunities and still have room in a year to do a movie or two, like that so I am excited.”
