According to our sources, it seems that Bounce TV has partnered with New Wave Entertainment and is about to attempt to tackle a larger share of the African American audience with their brand new produced shows as they are targeting more urban comedy programming. With several new shows on the horizon, it seems that they may be known as the go to channel for urban comedy.
Why do we say that? Well, we just discovered the news that Bounce TV is about to add six stand up comedy specials to their line up next season. The comedy one hour specials will be of one particular comic per hour, as we hear that the comedians will probably be from the best performances that were featured on their hit show Off Da Chain.
So far we haven’t heard who will be given their own special but its probably a safe bet to assume that host Rodney Perry will be one of the first to be featured.
The specials will join a new season of other comedy sitcoms such as One Love starring Mark Curry (Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper) and Sheryl Lee Ralph (Moesha), Family Time starring Omar Gooding (One On One) and a new season of Off Da Chain.
