We just discovered the news from several industry insiders that actor Benjamin Bratt (most recently of 24: Live Another Day) is preparing to join Kevin Hart and Ice Cube in Universal’s new film Ride Along 2.
We hear that Tim Story (from the original film and Think Like A Man Too) will return to direct, and Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi are on board as the writers. So far, no one knows what the film will be about as the script is not done yet but we do know they will be filming in Miami. Will we see several cameos from Lebron James or anyone else from The Heat? We will see!
Anyway, Cube and Matt Alvarez will produce the new film for CubeVision alongside Will Packer for his new production arm, Will Packer Productions as the film is set to be released on Jan. 15, 2016.
