Anthony Anderson To Host 'The 2013 Soul Train Awards'!

We just discovered the news that the host for this year’s Soul Train Music Awards is former Law & Order star and comedian Anthony Anderson. We hear that the event will be taped in Las Vegas on Nov. 8th to be broadcast on Centric and BET channels Dec. 1 at 9PM ET.

Nominations for the 2013 Soul Train Awards were announced yesterday and Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with six mentions, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year for ‘good kid, m.A.A.d. city.’

Following behind K.Dot with five nods apiece are chart-topping artists Miguel, Tamar Braxton, Robin Thicke,Drake, Janelle Monae, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown.

Other multiple-nominated contenders are Jay Z, J. Cole, Pharrell Williams, T.I., Alicia Keys and Fantasia.

The Soul Train Awards is directed by Tony McCuin and produced by BET Event Productions and Sunseeker Media. Executive producers of the network telecast are as follows: Paxton Baker, Tami Willis-Arasli, Derek Lewis from Centric; Bart Phillips from Sunseeker and Kenard Gibbs from Soul Train Holdings.
