Yesterday it was revealed in an exclusive story from VIBE.com that the producers of the American Black Film Festival have produced their first comedy web series. This comes to no surprise to us at all as we know Jeff Friday (founder of the ABFF) has been a lover of comedy for years and has been toying with the idea of getting more involved in comedy. You know VIBE has to stay on top of the exclusives and this time, our ABFF Fam has been kind enough to share a little secret about this year’s festival.
ABFF Founder, Jeff Friday and his wife Nicole Friday Executive Produced a new sketch comedy series, ” The Q&A Show”, about a married couple filled with original skits, pop-culture parodies and a satirical take on politics and religion.
Reminiscent of Comedy Central’s hit series, “Chappelle’s Show,” “The Q&A Show” aims to reignite the flame that went dim after that show’s premature ending in 2006. With its universal appeal, “The Q&A Show” will engage and entertain audiences by delivering unpredictabl
The series features the couple in such outrageous skits as: “How You Doin’?” with Walters as the very outspoken Wendy Williams; “Celebrity Divorce Court: Vanessa and Kobe”; “60 More Minutes: An interview with Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs in the year 2053” and “Love & Hip Hop: The Independence Party” a spoof of VH1’s reality series “Love & Hip Hop.”
“The Q&A Show,” will be revealed at the 16th annual American Black Film Festival taking place in Miami Beach, June 20-23. Festival- goers will get a sneak peak of the webseries at the ABFF Webisode Challenge event on Friday, June 22nd.
