It is being reported by several websites that actress Jurnee Smollet, probably best known for the films Eve’s Bayou, Roll, Bounce and The Great Debaters has just joined the cast of HBO‘s True Blood during its upcoming sixth season.
Smollett will be a series regular and will play the character named Nicole Wright who is described as “wide-eyed… who is not concerned with money and more concerned with the common good and doing what’s right.”
That’s not the only acting gig Smollett landed; she is also on the new NBC show titled Do No Harm where she plays as the daughter of Phylicia Rashad’s character and is set to debut on January 31st.
True Blood‘s sixth season is scheduled to begin in June.
Smollett will next be seen on the big screen in Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
