We just discovered that our friend, actor Amin Joseph just landed in a brand new comedy spoof of the Fast and Furious franchise titled Superfast!
Amin Joseph (probably best known from G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Expendables, Mob City fame) has signed on as Dre, a character based on Roman “Rome” Pearce which was originally played by Tyrese Gibson in the previous Fast and Furious installments. Alex Ashbaugh and Dale Pavinski are in final negotiations to star as the Paul Walker and Vin Diesel characters.
The film’s writer-directors Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg, who previously made fun of Twilight with Vampires Suck and laughed at 300 with Meet the Spartans, clowns Fast and Furious with Superfast. The comedy is due to start shooting October 2013 in Los Angeles. Peter Safran, who recently wrapped the spoof The Starving Games and last produced the surprise horror hit The Conjuring, is producing the movie.
This mark’s Amin’s second film with the comedy team Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg in 2013. Earlier this year, Amin wrapped the comedy Best Night Ever, as Marcus, an exotic male dancer that meets a group of women on a life changing adventure. Jason Blum produces the film.
